Today I came in to work and the VP of Government Affairs hands me two professional looking photos. I take a look at the first one and it's a picture of President George W. Bush and his wife Laura Bush personally signed by their hand and addressed to me thanking me for my work. The next photo is a picture of Dick and Lynne Cheney personally signed and addressed to me saying "we love you".
Now..I realize I should probably be honored by such gifts...but anyone who knows me can probably find the humor in this. What do I do with these?
Edit: oh and my name is spelled wrong. They spelled it Erick haha.

Honestly, are you surprised? The man can't say nuclear, let alone spell a 4 letter name.
All joking aside, that's pretty awesome. I have a letter from Clinton that my mom did something with so I wouldn't ruin it.
You should find out how to keep photos protected/preserved, because all political feelings aside, those are pretty valuable things to have. If you're going to frame them, just don't put them in direct light so they don't fade. The photoshop could probably help with that kind of stuff.

Haha, the humor oozes from this story...but I'm not the one to verbalize it.
Anyway, if the etiquette at your office seems to be that everyone has a picture like that on their desk, I would follow suit. If not, I'd probably file them away in my "cool stuff that represents things I've done in my life" pile.

i doubt they're actually personally signed.
i mean not to impune upon the honour bestowed... i just really doubt the time and attention would be spent on things such as this so close to the end of the term without prospect of relection.
i say sell it on ebay. there has to be some blue-collar red-neck named erikk (with two k's) and that's close enough. but before you sell, take photos of the photos. hahahah hilarity.

it was, he actually handed in to Bush and Cheney and asked them to write it out. These people I work for meet with important politicians all day long. In fact, I'm pretty sure that's all lobbyists do.

For a second I thought someone changed the subject to 'Girls your not sure what to do with' which I found fairly comical.
like a house full of girls "gone wild" that you simply don't know what to "do" with.

Preserve that "kids which have been dropped at the pool". I hate them both, but its still history =)

I didn't know Dick Cheney was capable of love.
Anyways, I have 2 documents that I got in high school for my academic excellence, both of which were signed by GW.
